Club Centenary Dinner

On August 29th, to mark the end of the club’s centenary season, we will be hosting a President’s XI vs Select XI match at Meggetland, starting at noon. Spectators are encouraged to watch and enjoy the match. The evening will have a formal 3 course meal at Canalside in the main bar. It’s a chance for current and former players, and anyone connected with the club, to celebrate the club’s Centenary at our home ground.

Entry from 6pm, with those playing in the match expected to join at approximately 6:30pm. Each ticket will include a drink on entry, as well as the meal. Tickets are on sale now, through this website, priced £50.

Tickets will also be available to join us after the meal for presentations, remarks and drinks from 9pm through to midnight.

  • Chef’s own leek and potato soup

  • Smoked haddock and cheddar fishcakes, served with a crème fraiche dressing

  • Duck bon bons, with plum sauce and seasonal leaves

• Mains

  • Cajun blackened salmon, served on a pea puree

  • Breast of chicken (Halal) wrapped in Pancetta or plain, laid on a sage and tomato sauce

  • Sweet potato tarte tatin, passatta sauce

  • All main are accompanied by roasted new potatoes and market vegetables

• Desserts

  • White chocolate and raspberry crème brûlée

  • Tiramisu

  • Chocolate profiteroles, raspberry coulis
